Minors and Menaghs

David James took his first visit to the Denver Zoo this weekend. He had a great time looking at the Monkeys, Lions and Bears. We have the season pass, so he will probably spend a lot of time at the zoo.

These are some pictures from my trip this weekend to the Palace where Korean Kings have resided for centuries!! The pictures do no justice, the place is huge, there is row after row of these huge gates and buildings as you get deeper into the complex where the "Pagoda" is with the moat. The guys in red are the Korean Guard and they stay completely still and change posts every hour in a sort of drill routine. All this is in the middle of the city!

Just a note to everyone: I finnished up the last of my 7 Coast Guard exams and passed. I'll be spending the next two months on the Mantanuska, a ferry for the Alaska Marine Highway. This link shows this vessel and all the others in Alaskas fleet. http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/services/details/vsslinfo.html#MAT
Sometime in late July or August after I've finished this last bit of cadet sea time I will be getting my USCG 3rd Assistant engineers license which means I can start working for money instead of experience.

Hi everybody! This is so cool and I love keeping in touch with you guys, but how do we get more of our family to participate? Ben just passed his big exam and I don't think he knows about this site. Ryan, do you need more email addresses, like Ben, Theresa and my parents? What about the Newberg and Clackamas Minors? Where is everybody?! If you are reading and not commenting ("lurking") its time to make yourself known!

I got this for $60 as you can see it is pretty large. You can tell it is a fake because the "C's" touch. They have the smaller brown and black ones probably fo 30 or less depending if you are the first sale of the day ( they give the first customer a discount for good luck). There are also alot of Louis Vuitton and luggage too! Shoes galore, I am about to break down and have some custom made. Another nice think her is the "Mink" blankets. They are not real mink but they are thick and fuzzy. Think the tiger blanket times awesome. And the blankets can be made in any patter or design, I was thinking a Marimoko print? Anyway those are about 50. The moonshine here is called Soju and I would be more than happy to send some of that too...

Here are a couple of pictures Jaime sent of the demonstrations about 12 miles from her base.

This is me in Seoul, the city is HUGE, but there are still traditional villages walled in throuhgout! Korea is very beautiful now that it is spring, these were taken in February.
BTW, the coach purses are very good knock-offs, I am interested in getting some custom shoes made!
