Wow, sure is quiet around here....Hello? I guess everybody is out enjoying the summer sunshine. So, I heard a rumor that Jaime and Karey would be here this summer, are there any plans yet to get together?

I hope everyone has recovered from our annual family social experiment in living like a refugee, AKA "camping". I have posted all my pictures from the weekend here if you want to go see them.

I realize that most of you are camping right now and we wish we could be with you. We just got back from Kauai and are just catching up on sleep. Here are some pictures from the trip.
The First Pictures is the Waterfall from Fantasy Island, the second waterfall is in Waimea Canyon. If you have not see the canyon before, it looks a lot like the Grand Canyon but Green. Added a picture off our Balcony. We stayed at the Marriot Kauai Beach Resort on Kalapaki Beach. This is the same resort we went to for our Honeymoon. We explored some beach caves and hiked up above the Na Pali Coast. I played a lot of Golf, the courses there were amazing, but when the Trade Winds picked up it was like hitting into a Hurricane. Golf has become an obsession, so if anyone else plays, I would love to hit a few Portland area courses when we are up there next time. We definitely ate and drank enough to last us quite awhile, the last picture is at Tide Pools on Poipu Beach.

Here are some pictures from my tour to the Chongdung Bhuddist Temple and "glass village" where Franciso and I blew our own vases. I also bought some wine glasses that are temperature sensitive and change from violet to blue. The first pictures are from a Korean Barbeque joint which was a typical example of Korean dining. They cook pork in the center of the table and all the other dishes are different Kimchis, bean paste, lettuces and picked radishes. They were kind enough to serve me a Vegetarian Bean Curd soup but I could have been satisfied on the array of vegetable sides. When I was hiking to the top of the moutain that the Temple was on I came across a giant bug. He let me pass with no incident, that thing was at least 4 inches long not including antennae. We also stopped at a Ginseng market where we drank ginseng tea, and had ginseng candy.
