Well since this has become the Fishing Blog, here is a Rainbow Trout that I caught a few weekends ago up in the mountains. The guy in the background owns a log cabin that backs up to the National Forest and had his own private lake. Pretty nice friend to have.

Each time I caught a fish Bella would jump into the lake and chase the fish in the water. Bella loves the mountains.

Greetings Everyone.
Well, it looks like this blog is working pretty good so far. However most of the family has not responded to the invitation emails I have sent 0ut. Maybe it will take some time.
But, for all of us "early adopters" here, I was hoping to get some feedback on the usefulness of this blog. Basically, do you like it? Is it easy to find information on? Easy to post on? etc....

I'm sure everyone here is familiar with forums. They seem to be a little easier to comment/reply on and I think its a little more efficient when it comes to checking for new threads and checking old ones for new comments. They might not be as good for posting pictures though.

Does anyone here think it would be easier to have a family forum as well? I did make one a while back. I started a few posts and tested the functions of the site (thanks JOIE). If anyone would like to check it out: http://bminors.runboard.com

You may have to register and submit an "application" in order to view the forum postings, as it is a private forum.

Thank you for reading and any feedback would be much appreciated.

Caught a 24 in Spring Chinook today at McIver Park on the Clackamas. It's the smallest salmon I've ever caught.... Oh and a bird pooped on my arm like 10 minutes before I landed it.

Memorial Day at Willamette National.

This year I had the Gold Star wreath made to place during the ceremony on Memorial Day. Our Governor was there along with hundreds of guests. There was a nice fly over, very touching music, etc. We had a military escort for the actual placing of the wreath. This is me posing with 3 other Gold Star Wives.

Hey guys
Here are the fishing regulations for the portion of the Deschutes that we will be camping on for the 4th of July:

Open for Trout May 27th to Oct 31. (no problem there)
Limit: 5 trout per day (awesome, considering the rest of the river is only 2 per day)
2 of the 5 trout may be non-finclipped rainbows
Use of BAIT is ALLOWED!! (most of the river is restricted to lures/flies)

These are some very favorable regs for the river! I'm very excited about this. I will bring extra poles/gear for any youngsters and adults that want to try their skills.

Remember, you must have a license to fish!
Adult annual angling license is ........$24.75
Age 14 to 17 is only ..........................$6.75
Under age 14....................................FREE
Senior citizen is ..............................$12.00
1 day license....................................$12.00 (not a good deal)

You can easily pick up a license at GI Joes or Fisherman's Marine or Sportsman's Outdoors and even Bi-Mart I think.

Your license will be good till Dec. 31st so I highly reccommend getting the annual if you plan to fish.

Also, If you do own a pole/reel already but you are short on gear, no problem. I have loads of gear like tackle, lures, beads, snaps, swivels, hooks, bait, anything you could possibly need for Salmon, Trout or Steelhead.

Email me if you have any questions....

Hey Everyone,
This site will be offline for maintenance for 2 hours on Saturday 6-3-06 between 10 and noon.

Just had to share these, from the last time I saw Milo, on mother's day. They just show what a cool little dude he was.

hi everyone! I'm right in the middle of finals, its a little hectic, but I wanted give a proper obituary somewhere for my beloved Milo. The newspaper seemed a little inappropriate, but this seems like the right place for it, with family. We had a very difficult last week together, but he is finally at rest at our house in Newport, as mom put it, playing with Annie, Amsel, P-tex, Kevin, and all the rest of our missed animal family. I don't want to bring anybody down, I just loved him so much, and it is important that he is remembered and celebrated for the spirited, adorable, moody, snuggly, handsome little King Luckdragon that he was. So hug your pet today for Milo (although he would have preferred you steal their bed and growled them into a corner! ahh, what a character).

Here is a quote from a group email Tim sent out. I guess he isn't hip to the blog yet.

Again I am never sure of the latest email addresses so I am sending to all the addresses. I know I don't have one for Theresa, or Ryan/Mary or Kylie/Karl and maybe others. Would like the latest if you all have them.
I have booked six campsites for the Fourth of July at La Pine State Park. This is for Sat Night (July 1), Sun Night and Mon Night (July 3) - Three Nights. These are the popular nights. If someone wants to stay the night of the Fourth, reservations are available. Park is 21 miles south of Bend
Here is the link to the park
We should be able to have fun. As you can see in the picture there is a nice river through the park. Floating should be a good activity - bring inner tubes.
Would like to know who all would like to camp. Six sites have worked well before and should work again.
Last year dividing up the meals seemed to work well. Thought we would try that again.
Let us know if you are interested.
