Hey guys
Here are the fishing regulations for the portion of the Deschutes that we will be camping on for the 4th of July:
Open for Trout May 27th to Oct 31. (no problem there)
Limit: 5 trout per day (awesome, considering the rest of the river is only 2 per day)
2 of the 5 trout may be non-finclipped rainbows
Use of BAIT is ALLOWED!! (most of the river is restricted to lures/flies)
These are some very favorable regs for the river! I'm very excited about this. I will bring extra poles/gear for any youngsters and adults that want to try their skills.
Remember, you must have a license to fish!
Adult annual angling license is ........$24.75
Age 14 to 17 is only ..........................$6.75
Under age 14....................................FREE
Senior citizen is ..............................$12.00
1 day license....................................$12.00 (not a good deal)
You can easily pick up a license at GI Joes or Fisherman's Marine or Sportsman's Outdoors and even Bi-Mart I think.
Your license will be good till Dec. 31st so I highly reccommend getting the annual if you plan to fish.
Also, If you do own a pole/reel already but you are short on gear, no problem. I have loads of gear like tackle, lures, beads, snaps, swivels, hooks, bait, anything you could possibly need for Salmon, Trout or Steelhead.
Email me if you have any questions....

hey Ryan, I would love to fish that weekend, but I don't have a pole or anything. Maybe my dad or one of my uncles has an extra pole to share? If not, do you know what I would want to get, and where to get it cheap?

Yeah, like I said, I would be happy to let people use my poles/gear. Recently I pickup a couple pole/reel combos at GiJoes. They are for trout so they're just 6 footers but I got the rod and reel for just $29. It's "Abu Garcia" a respectable brand. Trout equipment is generally pretty affordable
